Me and Pär are back.. again.. for one more summer at La Maison du Bez. It is the 4th summer for us.. crazy. Times fly! The atmosphere here is what is always has been, friendly, homelike and relaxed. Most things are as they always have been (well, for four summers at least...! ) and some things are new. La petite Maïa for example, the sweetest ever!
As always... the luc alphand cyklist and pastaparty...
This weekend we've had cyklists who did the La cyclo de Luc Alphand, a roadbike competition at the hotel and with that comes the obligatory pastaparty the evening before. You have to be well loaded with carbohydrate to finish that competition.. The "short" one is 86 km with 1675 m climb and the longest one is 180 km and 3500 m climb!! Well done guys..
The terasse is up again and today I've replanted all the flowers.. we'll see how long time they will live. (My thumbs aren't as green as I would like them to be.. ) It's the first time I've done it so it will be intresting to follow the development of these flowers... (Luckily I got some help from a guest who has been planing gardens for a living for 10 years so hopefully they'll last for the whole summer. Thanks to the the nice Texaslady!)
New for this year is that I found a big toad down one of the old flowerpots.
It stuck its head up and wondered why I was desturbing his sleep.. He really made me jump! And he
did as well so now we can hear him croak in the evenings..!
